Mount Auburn Cemetery Photos Now On-line

cross on a graveI've uploaded photos from my walk through the Mount Auburn Cemetrry in Cambridge, MA on August 6, 2006.

The historic cemetery is located only two blocks from my home. Yet, in the 12 years Ariel and I have lived at Horizon East, I doubt that I've set foot inside its boundries more than once or twice.

According to its website, "Mount Auburn Cemetery has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the Department of the Interior, recognizing it as one of the country's most significant cultural landscapes. Founded in 1831, it was the first large-scale designed landscape open to the public in the United States. Today its beauty, historical associations and horticultural collections are internationally renowned."

I thoroughly enjoyed my walk and photographic experience. The view from the 125-foot observation tower was cool, too.
