My 50-word micro story entitled “Wishing Well” will appear in the December 1st issue of Blink-Ink.
Blink-Ink is “Home to the finest in contemporary 50 word fiction. Archived in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University, Blink-Ink is a quarterly print journal publishing the best in stories of approximately 50 words since 2009.”
The Fear of Monkeys, an “E-Zine that features politically conscious writing” has accepted my micro story entitled “Profit and Loss” for its Spring 2023 issue.
Bewildering Stories, a webzine devoted to speculative and experimental writing, has accepted my short story entitled “Fight Night” for publication.

The online journal Potato Soup has accepted my short story entitled “Reaper.” Its slated to appear in the September 5 issue.
The online ‘zine Scribes*MICRO*Fiction has accepted my micro story “Earworm” for publication in Issue #20 on August 15, 2022.
Star 82 Review, “an art and literature, online and print magazine that highlights words and images in gemlike forms,” has accepted my stark black & white photograph entitled “Sit a Spell” for publication in its 10.3 issue, due out in mid- to late-September, 2022.

The 100 Word Project, a microfiction litmag, has accepted my story “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” for publication in its second issue.

Four Thirty-Three has accepted ten of my black & white photographs. Billing itself as “a magazine of art, literature and politics”, 433 “began as a running collection of ‘moments of silence’ from various places around the world, experienced in isolation, in the midst of a pandemic.”

Wrongdoing, a classy new Canadian literary magazine (“We’ll take the dark, the sacrilegious, and all of that good stuff that opens mouths and wounds”) has accepted my color photograph entitled “America Vet Fading” for publication in its Fall 2022 issue.
I typically don’t crank out murder-mysteries, but occasionally I’ve been known to spin a murder yarn or two, like Murder On the Eighty-Six that just appeared today in MysteryTribune.com.

My flash story, “Ambush,” was accepted this morning by Fiction On the Web. Ambush is the third in my “Rambo” series. I hope to expand the stories into a novelette one of these days.
The Short Humour Site has accepted my flash piece entitled “Ancient Chinese Remedy.” It should appear on their website early next week.

On May 16, a portion of my short story “Squeeze Play” was read and critiqued by members of the Mystery Writers of America New England Chapter at their annual themed Author Idol meeting via Zoom.
The format for Author Idol is: the first few pages of anonymous submissions are read by a professional voice. Three judges listen for style and plot; when they have heard enough, they signify by raising their hand or ringing a bell. Then they give their feedback.
My story reading followed by critique begins around 10:40 into the video, and ends at the 15:50 mark.
The online magazine Whisky Blot has accepted a visual art piece and a very short fictional story for publication.
“Hold My Rum” is an artsy fartsy photograph of a rum bottle; “Imaginary Companions” is a micro story in the horror genre. (Yes, I know that rum and whisky are different!)
Both photo and story are expected to be published at the end of May in their “Flashes of Darkness” themed issue.
After last week’s successful launch, the Strange Wars & Strange Religion anthologies authors and editors are holding a launch party online right now. It’s great to meet the folks behind the curtain–the editorial team, and the authors who wrote the stories. The moderator asked me to talk briefly about my story, “Star Dust,” in Strange Wars.
