This evening I completed and emailed corrections to the intermediate proof of my manuscript for the novel Uncontacted Frontier. It’s amazing how many little errors and corrections keep popping up in (what feels like) a completed manuscript!

Today, Gene Robinson of Moonshine Cove Publishing received my final revised edits for the third novel in my Carrie Bloomfield series, “Uncontacted Frontier.” Next comes the initial proof. The book is still on schedule for an April 21, 2020 publication date. Yay!

Today’s “virtual” Bagel Bards meeting via Zoom went swimmingly well. We had as many as 18 folks on at one point during the 1 1/2 hour session.

A good crew was on hand Sunday, February 23, 2020, at New England Mobile Book Fair in Newton Upper Falls to welcome back an old friend, Robin Stratton (front, center) of Big Table Publishing and Boston Literary Magazine. Robin now lives in San Francisco, but she’s in town for a few days visiting family.
Standing directly behind Robin is NEMBF owner Tom Lyons.
I’m making final edits to a short, 5,000-word piece of cozy detective fiction entitled “Murder on the Eighty-Six.” It’s about an MBTA driver/amateur sleuth who investigates a murder that occurs on his bus. I’m planning to submit to “The Best New England Crime Stories 2020,” to debut at the New England Crime Bake.

I just received an email from my publisher, Moonshine Cove Publishing. Royalties for print and e-book sales of The Allston Variant in 2019 earned me a whopping $14.87. Huzzah! 😉

I’ve been informed that my novel The Winship Affair will be the featured book read for a women’s book club that meets in members’ homes in the condo complex where I live. I have been invited to attend their meeting in January (the only male in attendance?) as they meet to discuss my book.
(This might pose a dilemma for some of the participants: how easy will it be for them to critically discuss the book while their neighbor-author is in attendance?)

I received good news earlier in the week: Moonshine Cove Publishing accepted my manuscript Uncontacted Frontier for publication. It will be the third book in the Carrie Bloomfield series of scientific mystery novels. I’m estimating it will be produced in spring/summer of 2020.
